There are
so many things in life that I am thankful for I don’t even know where to begin.
Most of all I am thankful for my family and friends, I don’t know what I would
do without them. They inspire me to follow my dreams and be the best that I can
be. No matter what crazy idea I have had
my friends and family have always supported me. I am thankful that my parents
have never pressured me to be a certain person; they have accepted me for
exactly who I am. I have had friends in the past that have felt pressured by
their parents to become a lawyer or a doctor even though that is not something
they are passionate about. I am lucky enough to have parents that want nothing
more than for me to be happy no matter what career I plan to pursue. I am also
thankful to have such an amazing younger brother in my life. Even though we are
ten years apart we get along so well and spend a lot of time together when I am
home on breaks. We could spend hours doing absolutely nothing and have a great
time. I am also grateful for my dad’s girlfriend; she has played a huge role in
my life in the past six years. She has been through a great deal of hardships,
and still remains strong and happy which I find extremely inspiring. I am
thankful to have her in my life and my dads; she brings out the best in both of
us.
My dad, me, and his girlfriend Liz.
My mom and I.
My brother and I.
My roommates are also a huge part of my life
that I am very grateful for. Not many people can say that their roommates from
college are their best friends. We do everything together and make it a point
to meet up over summers even though we live a few hours apart. Our friendship
means a lot to me and it is nice to know that I will always have people at
school and at home to count on. Once in awhile we get into small arguments but
at the end of the day it never matters.
I am also
thankful for my best friend Dylan that I met three years ago. Once we met we
were inseparable and did everything together. I have never had a friendship as
close as the one that we share. There is not one thing that we keep from each
other and I don’t know what I would do without him.
Finally I am thankful that I am healthy, driven,
and have a roof over my head. Even though there may be some days that I wake up
and just want to crawl back into bed, I realize how happy I am to be alive. I
am happy that I can wake up and accomplish anything I put my mind to!
