U.S. Military Tests Robot That Fires Machine Gun
I want one of these bad boys at my Hunting Camp. I can send this sucker out in the woods hunting for deer, bear, fox, you name it, while sitting in my warm camp sipping a cool beverage.
Video:
The U.S. Army is testing machine guns mounted on various
remote-controlled robotic platforms. The tests were part of the
military’s ongoing evaluation of robotic combat capabilities.

What a site to see walking do the street or in the woods. I bet the Robot is not very sneaky nor does it have to be. If I were to be greeted by something looking like "Predator" I would have a straight up heart attack.
There military named this Robot originally the "protector" but version 1 did not have a gun. Now with the new GUN mounted "protector" soldiers can operate via remote-contral from a distance of up to 3,300 feet and spit ammunition 5,900 feet away.
Robots are constantly becoming more commonplace in the military researchers believes robots will soon out number humans by 10 to one in the military operations.
"The thing that separates the real proliferation of robots from sci-fi movies is autonomy. So far, the most advanced mechanical soldiers are only semi-autonomous, but experts believe that within a few decades robots could precede humans into battle. Whether or not they'll act on their own is another question."
