I found in Chapter 4 that is was very interesting how the Army is now tapping into the Social Media scene and making efforts to provide a budget cut in the future by using Social Media. One was is for recruiting in the Army they are allowing candidates to interview with live people to ask question on what it's like to be in a foreign country or what it's like to be in combat. The U.S. Army calls this, "Straight from Iraq", it's a great way for young people to understand how things are ran from their own home and to let the parents and family have a understanding of the way of life in the Army. I think Social Media can help people thinking about entering into the service to know what to prepare for in the future to see how the troops live and even down to what they eat. I also think it's a great way for our troops to have a better connection to their families while being able to see their kids growing up while away from home or to talk with mom and dad about everyday life. This may be just the beginning of what is to come for our service people. I think the sky is the limit and now is the time to jump on board because our country is in a financial deficit and this may be a way to cut down on paying recruiters and that is just the beginning of saving.
