As the days of October turned to November, I've noticed a good many of my Facebook friends are posting what they are most thankful for.  Since it IS the month in which we celebrate Thanksgiving, I thought it would be appropriate to list the Top 10 things for which I am most thankful.

#1   I am most thankful for God and all the blessings he has given me and continues to give me, each and every day.  He gives me the courage to face uncertainty and forge ahead when things get tough.

#2    Even though we have gone our separate ways,  I have to give thanks to my ex-husband for giving me the three greatest gifts ever.

#2   My children - Adam, Andrew, and Matthew, are the light of my life, my heart and soul.   From active little boys to sometimes moody teenagers to the young adults you've become, I couldn't be a prouder mom!  I'm looking forward to seeing how your futures unfold.  I also am thankful for Mandee, Adam's fiancee, for coming into our lives.  She'll be a great wife to my son and a wonderful daughter-in-law to me.

#3   I'm thankful for my parents, Ron and Kay, who are always there for me, have always instilled in me what is right and good, and who are now providing a home for me while I transition through another stage in my life.

#4   My siblings, Sue, Colleen, and Jim, for their continued friendships.   Even though we lived far apart for over 30 years, we always picked up where we left off.   Now that I'm back home and much closer to you, it's like I never moved away.  You all make me laugh and feel alive!

#5   I'm thankful for the great friendships I have - near and far - friends to hang with, laugh with, or cry with.   Everyone needs great friends!

#6    I'm grateful for my aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.   We all share a special bond - that of a large, caring family.   I'm also thankful for my ex-husband's parents as well as his siblings.  They still welcome me into their homes - I still consider them "family".

#7   I'm thankful for my current job.   While it is only temporary until I finish school and I've determined where my next destination will be, I am blessed that my employer is flexible with my schedule and appreciates the work that I do for them.

#8    I'm thankful for the ability to continue to learn and succeed in my college courses.   I started this journey 31 years ago and HOPE to finally complete my degree in the next year.

#9   I'm blessed with the ability to find humor to help get me through a tough day.

#10 Finally, I'm thankful for the struggles in my life because they open my eyes to all the good things I may have forgotten were there.

There are obviously many more things for which I'm grateful.   Life is amazing and even though it can bring heartache and tough situations, I've found it helpful to reaffirm each day what I'm thankful for.   Happy Thanksgiving!   What are you most thankful for?
