Nick Brown's Top Ten NFL Teams of All Time

I have been an NFL junky for my whole life and found this same list many times on the internet, watching ESPN and many Sports history programs.  I don't necessarily again with the rankings however I and a HUGE Steeler fan.

  1. 1985 Chicago Bears;   One loss season with the "Great" Walter Payton "Sweetness" and Mac attack with his headband and gunner.
  2. 1972 Miami Dolphins; Before my time but what else can be said..... 17-0, Perfect season except for losing the Super Bowl.
  3. 1989 San Francisco 49ers; Best dual combo ever, EVER!  Montana and Rice,  Both in the NFL Hall of Fame.
  4. 2007 New England Patriots;  Got to be honest, not a Pats fans but a perfect season.
  5. 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers: Of course my favorite team all time! This team should be #1 all time in my book.  14 Hall of Famer's on this squad
  6. 1992 Dallas Cowboys;  Can say anything good accept one of the best coaches in history,, Jimmy Johnson. I hate the Cowboys.
  7. 1984 San Francisco 49ers;  Best Defense other than the Steel Curtain ever.
  8. 1999 St. Louis Rams;  Kurt Warner and the high flying Offense.  This team was so good, the went for 2 point conversions and no kicker.
  9. 1991 Washington Redskins;  What a great Super Bowl domination.  I remember watching the game.
  10. 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers;  Should be #2 all time and only have one thing to say about this squad, STEEL CURTAIN!
I must admit that the 10 teams listed are the 10 best teams ever.  I will now order the team in the correct "Nick Brown" order.

  1. 1979 Steelers
  2. 1978 Steelers
  3. 1985 Bears
  4. 1972 Dolphins
  5. 1989 49ers
  6. 1984 49ers
  7. 1991 Redskins
  8. 1999 Rams
  9. 2007 Pats
  10. 1992 CowGirls!

Ok,  Now that is more like it!

  1. I'm a huge Steelers fan also and agree with your order - they should be #1 and 2 on the list of all-time greatest teams!

  2. Definitely glad you put the 1991 Redskins on the list. What a Super Bowl. I would consider the Raiders in Super Bowl XVIII when they destroyed the Redskins as a top team. First Super Bowl I can remember and as a 6 year old Skins fan I remember being upset. So sad.

  3. I really appreciate the Cowgirls comment. I grew up right outside DC and I may be a die hard Eagles fan and not care about the Ravens or the Redskins but I will always hate the Cowboys.
