Top 10 Best All-Around Dog Breeds

There are a lot of dog breeds out there; some good at fetching, some at swimming, and some at barking. And there are as many Top 10 Dog lists as there are dog breeds. Here’s my list of the Top 10 All-Around Best Dog Breeds. 

1. Newfoundland 

2. Golden Retriever 

3. Labrador Retriever 

4. Weimaraner 

5. Common Mutt 

6. Poodle 

7. Cairn Terrier 

8. St. Bernard 

9. Chesapeake Bay Retriever 

10. Great Dane 

Now, I realize this list is highly subjective, and tends to favor the larger dog. But all these breeds are great family dogs, relatively easily trained, and, of course, highly loyal. That’s my list, influenced by some of the dogs in my own life. What’s your Top 10 Breeds? (I’ll bet your list would probably be different!)
