Mobile Stats video is a very interesting watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRiwUCXPo8U&feature=youtu.be
The most alarming statistic I found on the video was the fact that more people own a mobile than a toothbrush! The main idea of the video is that society continues to move mobile economy. There are currently more iphone purchases than baby births. Not only that but on average a teenager sends over 3000 texts a month. People tend to have their mobile phones in reach at least 14 hours a day. People take on average 90 minutes to respond to an email but only take 90 seconds to respond to text message.
What do all these alarming statistics tell us? You could make a strong argument that our society is dependent upon our mobile devices. I believe it would be fair to say that people are dependent on their mobile phones. So what are businesses doing these days now that our mobile phones rule our lives? Shockingly companies spend less than 1% of marketing on mobile. Are businesses not on the same page as the global movement with mobile devices? How could it be that the entire world is dependent on their mobile devices, spend half of their day with mobile device in reach and even 10% of people look at their mobile devices during sexual activity. With these alarming statistics how could only 1 % of companies spend money on mobile marketing? I think it safe to say that mobile devices are only going to continue to impact our lives. If you own a business you better get on board or plan on closing your doors.
