Going Mobile

More people own a mobile than own a toothbrush?  Really? That’s surprising and disturbing.

70% of mobile searches lead to action in one hour – it takes one month on desktops; that sounds logical to me. If I’m searching for something on my phone – it usually means I’m away from home and need to find something quick.  On average it takes 90 minutes to respond to email – it’s only 90 seconds for texting.   Texting is a great invention – except of course when people decide to text while driving :-/

Society depends on mobile devices for everyday functions – they are no longer just cell phones, we text, email, surf the web, take and share pictures, keep up with social media, and have literally millions of games and apps to download.  Although the You Tube video on this topic shows only a small percentage of businesses going “mobile” – I believe it is just a matter of time before that number grows exponentially.  Businesses will need to adapt to today’s technology to keep society’s attention.  Mobile devices are almost always within reach and always on – this gives businesses a huge opportunity to reach customers.  Mobile advertising is ideal for an immediate response. An ad on a mobile device affords an opportunity to not only advertise, but it provides a convenient way for the customer to directly contact the company, with just a single tap.

  1. I have to admit that I found it disturbing that more people had cell phones than have toothbrushes also!
