One thing I really enjoy about Social Media, is reading an
infinite number of clever quotes. I can check in to Facebook or Twitter at any
hour and get a chuckle or an “ah ha” moment from a quick witted or profound post. I thought I’d do a quick search and make a
Top Ten List (in no particular order of importance), of quotes from famous
people that recently caught my attention:
1. “I refuse
to join any club that would have me as a member.” –Groucho Marx
2. “Happiness is having a large, loving, caring,
close-knit family…in another city.” – George Burns
3. “Before I refuse to take your questions, I have
an opening statement.” –Ronald Reagan
4. “There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule
is already full.” –Henry Kissinger
5. “Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves?”—Robin
Williams
6. “I have never been hurt by what I have not
said.”—Calvin Coolidge
7. “Marriage is a wonderful institution, but who
would want to live in an institution?”—H.L. Mencken
8. “Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord,
find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”—Albert Einstein
9. “Why fit in when you were born to stand
out!”—Dr. Seuss
10.
“The energy of the mind is the essence of
life.”—Aristotle
I love quotes so this is a great list for me. One that I live by was from a boss I had a few years ago "Stop telling me what you cannot do, and start telling me how you are going to do it."
ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking through Pintrest and seeing all of the interesting quotes. I have taken some and completed craft projects with them. Like the one I have painted on a picture frame in my hallway...."Family, where life begins and love never ends."
ReplyDeleteLove number 2!!! Love my family- distance can be a good thing sometimes!
